Healthy eating

Daily choices are important to your health and well-being, now and for years to come. Knowing and choosing to be fit involves adopting healthy habits and making disease prevention a priority in your life. A healthy diet, regular physical activity and a good emotional state are three essential elements of a healthy lifestyle.

Why are lifestyle habits so important?

A sedentary lifestyle, poor diet and being overweight are all factors that increase the risk of becoming ill. The more you weigh, the more likely you are to suffer from high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and certain forms of cancer (uterus, breast or colon).

On the other hand, a healthy diet and weight bring you many benefits: it helps you significantly reduce the risk of developing these conditions, you have more energy to enjoy life and it helps you feel good.  If you already suffer from high blood pressure or high cholesterol or if you are obese, if you manage to lose a percentage of 10% of your current weight and then if you manage to maintain this weight it helps you control your health problems.

Weight gain now weighs more than ever: World Health Organization statistics from 2010 indicate that more than 8 million Canadians are overweight or obese. How did it get here and, more importantly, how can we change that?

We can help you! Nutrition and personal development program

If you want to lose weight or if your doctor has recommended that you change your diet to control a certain health problem, or if you just want to know what it means to eat healthy, we can help you.

We offer you a full program

Our nutrition and personal development program are not just a weight loss program. We offer a holistic approach that integrates the medical, nutritional and behavioral changes needed to promote change.

Our nutritionist will help you make changes in the way you choose your food and diet that you can then maintain throughout your life. We don’t offer fast or fad diets because we believe the only diet that works is the one you can sustain for the long term. Together, we will create a personalized menu based on your health and needs and that fits your daily schedule. We will not only discuss what you eat, but also how much, when and how you eat, as these aspects influence your energy level, weight and metabolism. You will be part of the change process, so we will involve you in the changes you make, while teaching you the methods to overcome the obstacles.

Obesity is known to be a disease that affects more than blood pressure or blood sugar, and can significantly contribute to low self-esteem, depression, or difficulty relating to others.

We offer you a personalized program

And because no two people are alike, we do not offer a one-size-fits-all remedy. Because we believe in a personal approach to weight loss and healthy lifestyle choices, we offer several program to suit your needs and help you achieve your goals.
